Kenosee Retreat 2013

Hang on to your hats...

This is a lot of pictures!!

Our weekend started off with a stop by Bev's Sew&Sews for PRE warm up shopping..

The 'POST' shopping was at Retreat with Shirley's Sewing Room just a little too handy on site.
(I am not complaining...)

Lori quilted her toes for the big weekend!!

The views were spectacular as always.....

Let the sewing begin!!

This was 2012 Hoffman Challenge fabric made into Stack&Wack blocks...

Batiks were being bundled in to blocks....

all over the place....

I decided to do small projects like this one....

I saw this technique awhile ago on Quilted Delights

It is little cathedral windows.

and a mini twister block....

I will show you the finished projects one of these days!

We had all kinds of entertainment.....

Dancing girls.....

in Dusters.....

There were 3 new girls to quilting AND retreat....

They didn't think they would be the entertainment but after 3 days, 6 1/2y of fabric,

and a whole lot of laughs....

their Mat bags were ALMOST useable!!

It was like the Visa commercial...

Pattern.....30$
Fabric........60$
Retreat....200$
Better sewing machine........3000$
Entertainment value....Priceless!!

There was a ton of show and tell....

A star in progress....

(pictures don't do it justice)

Twister block Quilts......

And wouldn't you know it....

Sew and Sew's Retreat was just down the road at the same time...

So we made a quick stop over there to see what Bev's girls were up to...

(AND a little nibble of Shelley's amazing lemon tarts!!)

They were making Jelly Roll Race quilts....

The fastest one was under an hour!!

And this was one of my favorites at their show and tell!!

How creative!!

Thanks for all the laughs and it was great to see all our quilting friends again!!

It was another great Stitch in Time!!
