Coming Home

We were gone for 7 days but it felt like 4...

We challenged our suitcases maxing them out at 50lbs
and
carrying the rest!!

Some things just wouldn't fit in our luggage...

There were so many more thing we wanted to buy....

Teasing us at every bend

I needed another hobby like a hole in the head.....

But I could not resist.....

And as if Market and Festival was not enough

we toured to local Stores!!

This vintage quilt was calling my name...

I had the kit in my hands 100 times...

But in the end I settled for the book and pattern!!

In Galveston, Tx we went to the seawall....

It was all we could do not to stay there for the day!!

Terry and Sharon waded into the surf....

Took a moment to write in the sand....

We ate like stuffed turkeys....

At Festival Hill I loved this saying...

Why  Dream Ordinary

cvr cotidiana somnies - why dream ordinary

 Festival Hill at Roundtop

 was a work of art

 having been built in 1981

A modern day treasure!!

After the hurricanes, many big old trees were damaged

This dog was a tree at one time!!

but

The tinman

some talented people carved them into works of art...

A geisha girl

Dolphins and mermaids

The houses in Galveston were so beautiful...

Bishop's palace....

Fit for a king

I think we need to go back and tour these homes!!

The Catholic Church

The oldest house in Galveston...

Great verandas....

Row Houses....

'

I felt like we were in New Orleans!!

  2. Christa, How big is that vintage quilt? Is it tiny? I love your photos that you take. Not the actual photos, but your thoughts behind each photo.

    1. It's a big quilt! I guess I am going to have to do a final Houston post on my treasures!! But I do like the idea of making everyone wait to see it as I deal with it!! Might take a couple of years at this pace!!
