Where Doing Nothing Is An Activity.....

Yup...mom was right....that's what we did today...

Checked out a craft market...fresh coconuts.....

Even the birds were enjoying a coconut ....

Arnold was nearly consumed by a masked man..

The art these crafters make with native wood is amazing...

Statement pieces for sure....

We stopped by a quilt shop...where Arnold, Gary and another man who happened to be from Turtle Lake, Sk were waiting for us to be done shopping...

Arnold says this is the last guy who waited for his wife at the quilt shop...

There were screen bags like mine...but in Hawaii fabrics..

My favourite thing...little sandal quilts...

Mini fabric pineapple ornaments...

This store was tiny but jammed packed and every person was from Canada when we were in there!!!

Whales...

Hawaiian...

90 pieces in these little folded pineapples...

This is what I really went for.... A Pineapple pin cushion made by the owner of the store

Love the different uses of log cabin block to make pineapples in this sign..

Over toPeggy Sues for a snack...

Orange cow milkshake...

And a loaded hot dog...

A stop at an antique store to see what is old in Hawaii...

He had some eclectic ......

And ornate things...

A copper hammered claw foot tub...so Cleopatra!!!

The guys thought they should rent this van and we could ride up top....

This is what Joy purchased at the antique shop.....A brass moose in Hawaii???

This sign is so true....

We stumble on Turtle Town at Makena Beach...

Just sunning themselves like the rest of us....

These were some big turtles....

And some huge waves today...

This guy had a kayak that was fully loaded with fishing gear and training wheels he put on and rolled his boat out of the ocean.  It was also equipped with a rutter and pedals for paddling..pretty cool!!

Might have to do some research on this one!!! Look out little creeks!!!

Food trucks are every where...this one was at the beach...

That we went to snorkel at....

But the life guard started to announce that the waves were breaking dangerous at the shore line...

He was not exaggerating.....

This water was pretty powerful...the kind that could steal your sandals if you are not careful...

Even the chickens stayed high and dry here..

It was a good day of doing nothing...

Nighty night...
