As far as resolutions for the New Year?

I can only try for straighter lines, more precise cutting
and
learning to read the instructions BEFORE there is a mistake!!

I hope our stitches cross paths in the 2020!!

Christmas 2019

Another Christmas under our belts!

The weather was fabulous!

It truly was a white Christmas with all the frost and a bit of snow!!

One of our best Christmas gifts was to FINALLY get our Solar Panels on the grid!!

That was a lengthy process as I think TruGreen Energy took on more projects
then
they had man power.

August to December was quite a construction period!!

Can't wait to see the meter going in reverse!

We are lucky to have all our family in the vicinity
so
we got to spend it with both sides

All the gifts were delivered

I just love these little featherweights my uncle made for me!

You are lucky if you got one of these little gems!!

We shared lots of laughs and good memories.

A little giggle water never hurt anyone either!!

It was so nice to see our grandson loved his 'Tiger' who is now called Gingy

Thank you to Ellen Marcotte for making those for me!
Know they are loved!!

Hope your Christmas was amazing!!

Just In the Nick of Time

Christmas is well on it's way!!

Lucy and I have been sewing up a storm
and
I think we are done what needed to be finished!

Baking has been done
(and taste tested for quality assurance)

Our guild had our gift exchange
and
as always...fabulous gifts were created!
I didn't get pictures of them all...

But here are a couple of the creations...

Do you think we are a bunch of farmers wives by chance??

My gift was raspberries!

But these are special raspberries....

marinating in a bath of vodka to be shared during the Christmas season!!

The skies have been amazing despite the bitter cold last week

All the more reason to keep on with my Border Creek Advent Quilt!

These are not my colors
but
I am liking the fun of a block a day

It makes it so doable

It's like candy for a quilter...

This project used Half Square Triangle papers which were fun to give a try.

Once I could see the end in sight I could not resist to keep on going!

And voila....I have a new Christmas quilt for next year!

Thank you to Border Creek Station for another fun project!

Ho! Ho! Ho!

 Merry Christmas!!

Now can some one come clean my house before the inlaws arrive?

Maybe I will get a maid for Christmas...

Blossoms Bluff Quilt

I had one project I  knew I wanted to finish(and start)
at
our fall retreat this year!

It was Blossom's Bluff by Whirligig Designs

Blossoms Bluff quilt pattern by Whirligig Designs - 4 sizes - NIP

I was lucky enough to get the exact fabrics needed for this project
from

Tamara had a kit she was planning to do 'someday'
but
she decided she could sell it to ME!!!

I sewed it on my little featherweight

Crazy how this little box of fabric can be an entire quilt

I am LOVING my 'new to me' longarm!

This is the tenth quilt I have quilted up since September 25!!

I used a pantograph called Marmalade to do this one.

It really made this quilt pop
with
some Quilter's Dream double poly batting

Now to get it bound!

One more Christmas gift ready to go!

Thank you to Tamara for making my day!

She took all the thinking out of what fabrics to use.

I love it!

Counting down...

Moda Bake Shop Quilt Along

Call me crazy....

I know many of my friends do...

BUT who can resist...

Moda Bake Shop is hosting a Christmas Countdown Quilt along.

When I saw some of the blocks I knew exactly what I was going to do!!
I have had these blues and silvers for some years now.

I have been wanting to do a Blue Christmas themed quilt

These were perfect!

The silver does not show so well in the pictures but it's really sparkly!

There are a variety of sized to choose from.

Mine are 12" finished

If you are interested in a free project just click HERE

Very good instructions
and
if you are on facebook,

there is a great page for inspiration of what other quilters are doing with this project!!

I know...I need therapy....

Border Creek Station Advent Quilt

How cute is this Mystery Quilt
from

I have made many quilts from Border Creek Station.

It's nice to have such a talented Canadian Quilting company!

They did such a fabulous job of packaging each block
into
it's own day of the month.

A quilter's advent calendar!!

So far so good...

I have been keeping up...

as I fit these in between finishing up Christmas gifts

Each block is 9" finished

Some of them use triangle papers to get the half square triangles

It's kind of fun to try new techniques

I am working on day 9

at the moment....

Sashings....

I think this is going to be really cute when finished!
