Deep in to Fall

Jaxon is loving all the leaves....

The water has been pumped from

one dugout to the other,,,,,

Straw bales are being hauled...

These Snowbirds(Mom and Dad) are leaving for Yuma today...

I teased mom about her favorite color, green!!
Still is!!

I have not had much time to sew but you know it's a productive session

When the tub is full

 AND

at least one piece of chocolate has been consumed!!

I have had a heck of a time to decide how to do my centers for Month 4, 5 and 6

I decided to use bounce sheets, turn the circles and stitch down....

I love how this fabric makes it look like sunflower centers...

Month 5 is well on it's way...

So far,so good.....

It also happens to be Arnold's birthday!!

The weather is alot better than the year he was born...

Arnold and his mom didn't make it home for a week due to so much snow!!

I need to squeeze in a cake somewhere today!

Maybe this huge cookie that Chantel made him will support candles!!

Happy Birthday, Arnold!!

Ready for Halloween

Fall is definitely here!!

The colors are incredible...

Blues and Browns are my favorite!!

With the rain,
we called an impromptu quilt day!!

That gave me a chance to get going on my Bear Creek Row Robin

It is crazy to see how this pile of fabric...

Turned into an incredible quilt!!

The girls did an amazing job on each of their rows!!

I can't pick a favorite as they are each a unique work of art...

This tombstone was perfect for marking the date and name!!

I always wanted a Halloween quilt....

and this quilt has everything I was hoping for...

Candy corn...

Witches and Caldrons

Cats in little wonky stars...

 Ghosts and spiders...

Little Dracula...

Even a label signed by all the amazing quilters!!!

This quilt has travelled all over the States collecting a new row at each stop!!

Thank you to Cheryl, Lynn and Lynn, Betty, Shari, Dianna and Patrice!!

It will be a treasured quilt!!

It was a great International effort!!

Finished just in time for Halloween

Light at the End of the Season

The leaves are turning....

The dust is hanging in air...

The days are getting so short...

As I listen to my Roomba, Herbie vacuuming,
(if you saw my house, I'ld have to kill you!)

I have been busy with this vacuum....

Dawson, Duke and Timber eating some wheat...cheap dogfood!

Moving wet grain like crazy...

Helping friends to get their crop in as winter is a'coming!!!

I was shocked when we saw this moose crossing down Corn Alley

When he left his puff of dust as he heading back into his hideout

You can only imagine the dust.....

I think my sewing machine has forgotten my name!!

A Week of Great Finishes

Harvest is done and the bales are made....

First truckload has been shipped....

Just in time to go to Homespun in Carlyle, Sk

As we wandered through the quilt show I thought I recognized this quilt...

Yup...

Heather Piermantier's quilt she made at our retreat last year!!

I teased her about how she had taken over the show!!

I hired Terry Whitman to quilt Pat Jones quilt

She did an amazing job of quilting it...

Pictures do not do it justice but gives you an idea...

I can wait for Pat to see it!!

I was crunched for time
as
this quilt had a ride back to Glendive if I could get it bound

I used Suzie's Magic Binding as I am still in love with this technique

I love the resulting flange from the two colored binding!!

It was delivered to Pat on Friday and I hope she loves it!!

Off to help some friends with their harvest...

Hope the sun keeps shining!!
