Bear Creek Row Robin

I am so glad I decided to participate
 in a Row Robin

with Bear Creek Quilting Co. from Vancouver, Washington

The quilter were from 7 different states.

It began in May and every two weeks we sent out our work.

I themed mine as Halloween...

This was my starter row of pin wheels....

We were teased with sneak peeks from each quilter's row that was added..

I was hoping for some candy corn..

and Witches....

It should arrive any day now and I can't wait!!!
(squeeeeeel)

Here are some of the other sneak peeks from the other quilter's quilts...

This was Cheryl's from California...

It was BY FAR my favorite!!

I love batiks and am doing my next quilt in batiks because of her influence!!

Everyone wrote in the journal for each quilt worked on.

It tells a story in itself for the life given to these works of art!

These were some incredibly talented women

I am honored to be able to be included since I was the only one from Canada

That Postal Box in Ambrose has been a wonderful thing.

It has been the portal to some wonderful boxes of surprises

I am really going to miss getting these boxes every two weeks.

Stay tune for the day when mine comes!!

BUUSSSY Week

YES....
I am still alive...

Wasn't kidnapped or fatally injured!!

Just super busy...

But we did take some time to do some fun things this weekend!!

This is the first time we have attended the Crosby,ND Threshing Bee.

They have a huge parade of steam tractors to present day...

I have to say tractors have come a long way!!

I complain if my air conditioner is not working.....

These farmers stood beside a furnace all day!!!

The noise level explains why everyone's grandpa was deaf!!

I really need to do some research on why the wheels were so HUGE!!!

Bonnie and Clyde were spotted...

They called this one vintage but it is still my dad's favorite yard tractor

I am still using my JD4020 that looks like this....

And we still use our 3ton grain truck that looks like this.....

BUT....

I don't own one of these...

It's ladies size and sure could use one!!!

And even a walk behind!!!

I loved how this is the first 'Captain's' Seats on a car!!

It was all I could do not to sit on this antique lounger
and
 imagine being on the Titanic!!

There was a great flea market.....

Kids tractor pulls...

 Since it was Justin's birthday,
(my youngest is 24...can you believe that??)
((I sound like my dad...Can you believe Christa is 46??))
we stood in line for 40 minutes to get him a rhubard shake that he has raved about for a few years now!!

Made by some soda jerks!!

It was delic!!

It was also a fun Friday at Tracey's!!

Tracey hosted our group for a luncheon at her house....

There were a ton of laughs and a bit of show and tell...

Jane's Rabbits from scraps....

Jane makes great quilts from scraps all the time!!

Lori's award winning Wedding Ring Quilt in Pam Kitty fabrics....

Terry's amazing Northern Wilderness quilt...

Pictures do not do it justice.

Deb and Charlene finished their card trick quilt

and hand stitched it!!
Ready for the wedding!!

It was great to see everyone again!!

Thank you, Tracey!!

Let the week the begin...

Make Hay While the Sun is Shining

I must say there are days........

I can't wait for the sun to set....

So I can head home to bed!!!

Someone should come wash the nose prints off my windows!!

It has been a super busy week with plowing down clover....

I had company that day!!!

The hawks were having a feast of mice!!

and a small plane was spraying crops next to me...

A few times I was sure he was going to land on me...

I think I could read his lips as he flew over each time!!

Made for some entertainment in the field!!

Got a ton of hay cut.....

AND

baled with Justin manning an extra baler!!

I also taught a class in Oxbow hosted by Shelly Baldwin

Shelley was recently awarded the  PREMIER’S COMMENDATION AWARD for her work with "25 Little Dresses"

They have made 5000 dresses for this cause!!!

You can read more about her efforts HERE

Shelley had great show and tell for us, too!!

Everyone had a good time learning the easy way to make Cathedral Windows!!

It was a nice break from farming!!
