Well, March was a little crazy!
I can't believe it is already APRIL!!
Some days were like this.....
And others went like this!
April showers would be so FABULOUS if they can come!
It is ridiculously dry with no snow all winter.
We are trying to keep an upper chin as seeding is just around the corner.
Can only hope for some moisture.
On the sewing side of my life...
With all my favorite clothing stores closing in Covid,
I have been forced to resume making my own clothes.
When you order online, the clothes look lovely!
Then you get them and they don't even fit your dog
and
are made out of the most disgusting fabrics.
I figured I have some beautiful Kona Snow widebacking
and
some feature fabrics I love.
Made a pattern from one of my favorite shirts....
Voila!!
I used to make all my clothes.
I even got my serger up and running.
It hasn't seen daylight for years!
I stumbled on this cute wreath pattern
by
Patti's Patchwork
One of my new FQ bundles are such pretty blues and greys
with
a sprinkling of fairy dust!
So I gave it a try!
But I tried to double the size but it didn't turn out quite as I planned!
I will go back to the original pattern
and
do it justice.
This didn't quite work out but still is pretty!
I finally caught up on my BOM
by
I am loving it!
Surprising myself when I try to do it in a different colorway
than
the original!
Our quilt group finally decide to do our 2020 Christmas exchange.
(finally)
We have had two new guests at quilting...
Colinda and Annette Cossette.
Colinda wanted to try sewing
and
of course why start with something boring...
She made a teddy bear!!
Chris Marcotte(Auntie) has been quilting up
this
paper pieced Pineapple in the pandemic
It was incredible to see in person!
All scrappy blacks and whites and reds!
Our gift exchange is not limited to quilting.
My gift was made by Theresa Stepp
How cute!
Made me want to go to Hawaii right now!!
A bottle of Sour Cherry Whiskey wrapped in Fererro Rocher Chocolates!
So cool!
The gifts were stellar as they always are!
Terry Whitman made this wall hanging.
The stitching was incredible
as
well as the tiny prairie point flange!!
Lori made this tea cup runner and bag for Colleen
(our tea connoisseur)
Lori received the cutest needle book from Colleen
Jane made Terry a beautiful cover for her Featherweight machine
Marianna made Charlene a custom chain piecing cutter
with
a hand painted mandala!!
Chris was gifted a Christmas frame and pancake fixings!
I made Jane a Christmas Ornament
Christmas in March
But was still a fun day!
I recently brought in these widebacks with the world map.
I have been trying to decide what it the deserving quilt to put it on!!
I sure do miss travelling the world.
Where ever you are in the world these days....
I hope you are having a fabulous Easter!!
Look after yourself out there!
Now when it that bunny bringing some chocolate??
