The Fabric of MY Life

2016

Another fabulous year of 'LIVING'!!

I met all my goals...

I didn't have any!!

I think life is for living so take every opportunity
and
Enjoy every moment!!

The year started with happy times.....

Sad times with the loss of Arnold's dad, Roger

A whole lot of adventures...

Calving season was blessed with a warm winter

There were two litters of pigs

 A litter of puppies

The heat was on this summer...

The baler burned up...

Justin's farm nearly burned down...

(Thanks to all the family and neighbours who came to the rescue!)

As I looked back on this past year,

I was amazed at all the quilting I did.... in between 'living'

Our quilt show was very memorable

Especially when you start it off with my very first quilt
(or what's left of it)

I was so sure Irene Roy could restore it
(just kidding, Irene..I wouldn't do that to you!!)

My only regret for the year was that we did not video our show.

It was sooooo good!!

Thank you to all who danced in and out of our lives in 2016

I hope our stitches cross somewhere in the New Year!!!

Thank you for reading!!

I hope you enjoyed and were inspired to live a little more!!

Cheers

Infinity Quilt

I have loved this quilt since we went to Houston Quilt Festival in 2014

Infinity by Jacqueline de Jonge

I have done a lot of paper piecing
 But
I felt like I couldn't do it justice colorwise

It was the first booth I hit this year in Houston!!

I am doing it in Kate Spains Latitude
It seemed a little daunting so I started with the simplest star...
It actually whips up pretty fast when you chain piece it

The secondary star points came together quite nicely...

I was impressed

I am also incorporating some Thicket fabric

(The b/w stripe)

This is the biggest star in the pattern

It was a great way to spend a blizzard day!

I am hooked and can't wait to get to the next star!!
