It was off to Glendive
to deliver our quilts for the Makoshika Quilt Show
on April 26&27,2013
But while travelling that distance,
we thought we should take in some other sites...
Quilts and More in Sidney.....
Great lighting....
With some cute quilts for little boys....
Monthly Blocks....
A sign of Spring.....
But it was super 'Spring-y' at The Enchanted Room in Glendive!!
A little ironic... a bike and patch of snow.
I can't wait to sit in the sun outside on my bench.....
Even inside was full of promise that Spring is on the way!!
I had to buy this kit for myself...
Where are our April Showers???
to bring on the May Flowers.....
There is obvious thawing as this truck has seen some slush...
And with slush comes amazing star icicles on the wheels!!
This is the B&B we hoped to book for the show but was full.
On our way home
we had a private shopping experience at the Bent Pin in Williston,ND.
The store was closed
but
Cathy Johnson happened to be waiting for a class so she opened up for us!!
Cathy will be teaching her 'Circle of Geese' quilt at the Glendive Show.
There is still room to register if you are interested!!
This....
And this....
are also some classes she is teaching!!
It was a great day of friendship and fun!!
We finished the day with supper at a Mexican Restaurant.
Instead of Birthday cake for Lori Loewen's birthday.... we had deep fried Ice Cream!!
Delic!!
Hopefully Spring arrives soon as these little cuties need to go outside soon!!
Mark your calenders....
Glendive Quilt Show in 2 weeks!!

Did you know that I didn't see any one of those three quilts that you took pictures of in Sidney? That's the difference between you and me! And so sad to see that the roll of paper towels on the restaurant table at Glendive failed to make this post. :-)
ReplyDeleteI am trying to keep my posts of a higher nature than lowly paper towels as napkins....but that was pretty funny!!
Deletewhat sweet kitties, all those quilts and I go awww at the kitties!
ReplyDeleteQuilt store people are the best ... the one in NYC opening for us and the Williston one opening for you. Then we have to make it worth their while, don't we> ;o)
ReplyDeleteI can safely say I made it worth their while!!
