If I could have...I would have....
but
the cows needed feeding.....again.
What an irony...
snow...ice...mud and 4 feet of water in the moat!!
Rubber boots with a parka and toque...
I don't dare take of the snowblower yet
Instead of a needle in a haystack...it's a PTO in a snowstorm!!
That was a 600$ find!!

I lost the PTO shaft from my snowblower in the last blizzard....
and have been using Justin's for the last month!!
Look at that...I found it today!!

I have been trying to work on something that would warm me up.
Pie!!
Ok... they are not edible..
But they look like they could be!!
I found these containers at Sally Ann's...
So I cooked up some lattice tops....
And baked up a cobbler pin cushion....
and a couple of pies.....
Even finished with a cherry on top!!
Comfort food for the sewing room and easy on the calories.

Adorable pincushions!

What a great share today! I just purchased some blueberry and strawberry fabrics and I know I don't need every inch for my other project so now I know how I can use it up. Good spotting in the snow and I'm real sorry that you still need your snow blower. My son is training at Moose Jaw and he is not impressed with prairie weather. While I enjoyed sunshine and 20 degrees yesterday in NS, I could see that things were not improving for you there. Here's hoping that sunnier days are coming soon.
ReplyDeleteReally cute pincushions! Looks pretty nasty outside at your place, stay warm!
ReplyDeleteGreat pincushions. I just made some of my own in old fashioned glass sundae dishes (the footed kind) that I found at Sally Ann's. I put buttons in the bottom and then made a circular pincushion that rests on the top. Not as cute as your pies, but very retro.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see your pin cushions!! I am sure they are adorable!! Thanks to your inspiration....I am going to NYC with my sister in June!! We will need some tips!
DeleteOh, I'm so glad to hear you are going to one of the most amazing places on earth. Dare I say we may spend a few days there in August (on a detour during a State Fair road trip). Any advice I can give or books I can lend, just let me know.
DeleteYou ARE ingenious.Making lovely little pies--With no calories. Congrats at finding your part!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to see that your comments are working now! Thanks for reading, Irene!!
