A Full Weekend

A lot was accomplished this long weekend...

Great weather to haul some straw..

After Dawson and I fixed the truck..

This one is for Shelby and Bonnie!!

She is not that handy with tools though...

Justin went to a local auction and bought himself a Farmall H

He has been eyeing up these old tractors and this one runs really well!!

Arnold and I attended a friends wedding in Regina....

I thought this bridesmaid had a different dress only to realize those were permanent wings!!

Yikes!!!

There was a photo booth that we all had a lot of fun playing with.....

People kept sneaking in the photo...

As my kids said....

Alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the result of these photos...

Finally...just us!

I even found time to pull out a UFO to work on!!

Remember Lillypilly Tree??

I barely do!

I am going to double layer quilt this one so I am starting with the leaves...

I managed to finish Scrap Squad #5!!
 (under the wire..again)

We finished our Thanksgiving weekend with a huge feast with all the kids and grandson.

I think I need a rest today!!

In The Beginning... by Jason Yenter

While in Calgary this spring,
my sister and I visited Out of Hand Quilt Store

We were were blown away with the amazing things they had.

My sister does not quilt and she wanted all kinds of things so you KNOW it was a good store!!

This was just one of our purchases.

It was done with this exact fabric but I am not a big pink person...

so....

I thought I would try it in this -

Jason Yenter - In The Beginning.

I am doing the trunk in the stripes and the leaves in the print.

I think I will make the little birds in some black/white prints.

Only 150 leaves!!

Might be a little crazy...I am just saying...so be prepared.

I managed to finish my third Winter Wonderland embroidery.

At this rate I will not be done it for Christmas!!

Need to pick up the pace..maybe stitch on the combine???

Justin's CSA garden is doing amazing!

There is nothing prettier than a bushel of carrots.

And my first Dahlia bloom.

Thought I would show you before the grasshoppers eat the plant.

Seems to be their favorite snack in my garden.
