Summer Medallion Progress

Even if it's not as much PROGRESS as I was hoping for...
I would love to do more sewing

but

life keeps getting in the way!!

The last of the wheat has been loaded and off to Quebec!

The heifers were cattle driven to their summer pasture...

Mom came for an adventure on our little cattle drive.

It was amazing how many wild flowers are blooming out on native prairie!!

Summer Medallion

Here are a few of the blocks I have so far...

I am doing both the 12" and 6" blocks at the same time

Not sure if I will combine them

or make a mini and a large quilt

These are not my usual colors

But I am going to keep pushing through!

I find it tricky when you are working outside your comfort zone in color.

I am never sure if I put the right combos together!

Time will tell!

Summer Star Medallion

I have admired this quilt for some time on the internet.

It is a compilation of a few designers to create one quilt.

Here is a list of the designers~
Holly DeGroot – @bijoulovely

Karen Lewis – @karenlewistextiles

Lynne Goldsworthy – @lilysquilts

AnneMarie Chany – @genxquilters

Kelly Bowser – @kelbysews

Lee Heinrich – @freshlypieced

Faith Jones – @freshlemonsquilts

Katie Blakesley – @swimbikequilt

Freshly Pieced Quilts is where I purchased my pattern.

Summer Star Medallion

I love a deadline so having a block each week to do is right up my alley!

I love it in red but am going to think outside my comfort box for this one!!

Monday was the first block!

Block 1: Millcreek Star

I have had this FQ pack for sometime.....

It is Spectrum by V and Co for Moda.

I think it is about time to BECOME something.

I am using scraps of white as my background

This pattern includes a 12" and 6" block so I am going to make both sizes.

Week one....Check!

I figured I would sew up all the little dog ears as I go..

Never know where I can use them down the road!!
Let summer begin!
