Careful What You Wish For....

If you read my blog a couple days ago...

This blinged ornament went to it's new home.

Martha Cole had asked to purchase one

I told her to have it
 as
it was an honor that she thought they were fabulous!!

I did tease Shelby Love who delivered it for me...

that I will trade her for one of her elevators!!

Picked up the mail today to find this little package...

Containing this fabulous book....

and

A beautiful note about the new owner of my ornament.

The book is incredible.

It is a tribute to ALL of Martha's Elevators...

Such a great history of noble and majestic elevators.

One of our town's elevators just burned down a few weeks ago.

So this means even more!

Iconic statues of the Prairies

Can you believe these are fabric??

Such attention to detail...

They look like paintings.

Martha also has a write up explaining her inspiration
of
works of art.

Her exhibition has traveled everywhere
and
I was lucky enough to see it in person.

That's the first time I had come across Martha's works
and
I was blown away by her talent.

Still am.

I now own some of Martha's elevators....Jaynie!!!

See...careful what you wish for!

What a nice gift!

Going to be a Covid Christmas

Well... Christmas is coming...

It's going to look
lot like March lockdown!

( Lauren Daae, Christmas card 2020)

These Covid times have definitely
created
 situations not many
if
any have ever seen.

Going to have to come up with a new game plan to get the presents to the grandkids!

We received a beautiful decorated horse collar
 from
 my Friend Terry!

It took a sturdy stand to display this beast!

Very fitting for the farm!

Speaking of gifts...

One of my Christmas Ornaments using Paula Nadelstern fabric

Is on it's way to Martha Coles!!

I was very honoured that she loved my ornaments!

We have taken some incredible classes on color from Martha.

She is a Master creator in every genre she chooses.

Check out Martha Cole website!

Quilting, art quilts, book making, you name it!

Some of my all time favorites of Martha's are her Elevator Series

Can you believe these are fabric??!?!

Martha's talent is beyond my scope of quilting and creativity!

So you can imagine how I felt when she asked for one of my creations!

Very honoured!!

I said I would trade her for an elevator.....

lol
