A few weeks ago, Justin and I took a trip to Moose Jaw,Sk
We stopped by the Wandering Market.
It is based on locally grown and Saskatchewan grown food.
Even the grocery carts were enviromentally friendly made out of wood.
Even kid size....
Grow your own mushroom kits....
My purchases were some sour dough bread, rolling pin and pottery dish
all locally made.
The owners recently opened up a restaurant called Cornerstone Bar and Grill
The food is made with Saskatchewan food also.
Slow Food Fast is their motto
We tried some kombucha by Parkview Brews
It was very good!
The food was delicious!
Then I met up with a few of the Moose Jaw Hand Quilters
They call themselves the Qurazy Quilters
Dorothy McFadden, Pat Watson, Marj Nicolle, Elsie Carrick and Gloria Hatelay
They work on each others quilts hand quilting them together.
They do such a wonderful job with their stitches and designs.
They were so fun and full of life!
They quilted a Grandmother's Garden Quilt top for us.
My quilt group were gifted this quilt years ago
and
had tried our hand at hand quilting.
We didn't get too far.
When we saw their work at the Moose Jaw Quilt Show
We abandoned ship and gave it to the professionals.
They did a fabulous job!
This quilt now has a life it never had.
It doesn't even look like the same quilt.
Thanks for the fun day
Can't wait for our next visit!
Thank you for quilting this for us!
It's beautiful and it's going to it's maker's daughter!
She is going to love it!
I'll get pictures!
Christa
