Wonders of the Seas Cruise to Italy

After 5 days of walk to till you drop....
(I am a farmer...I drive a tractor)

We boarded the Wonders of the Seas Cruise ship

Our driver dropped us off early but we didn't mind.

We were the FIRST ones in line!!!

There were two ladies behind us and they introduced themselves
as
Lindy and Yvonne from Hawaii and we are quilters!

They had only quilted for 2 years and knew all the designers
and
best places to buy fabrics!

Lindy makes umbrellas
 and
I will be sure to post when she sends me pics!

WELL.... we had a blast standing in line and sharing our quilts!!

We met up quilt a few times after that!

They were so much fun!

The Wonders is the largest ship at the moment in Royal's fleet.

It has a Central Park and Board Walk in the middle

I never tire of a balcony view...ever....

There was a Robotic Bar

You entered your age
and
it gave you a list of popular drinks for that group!

I always love the towel animals....

Makes me feel special like someone did something nice for me!

First day off the ship....

Palma del Mallorca, Spain

Anita and Bill joined up with us.

We hired a taxi and started a tour around this island!

He took us around the island backwards as to avoid the crowds.

We tried to go look at the Court house
but
it was filled with school kids so we skipped that line!

He took us up to the peaks and got the best pictures.

He knew all the best spots.

I teased him that he must have been a photographer in his past life!

He took the best pictures of us!

He showed us all his favorite places
and
why he loved his island.

So rich in history and beauty

He took us to a bakery so we could buy his favorite pastry.

He didn't steer us wrong...

When we got to the Cathedrals most people were looking up...

I was looking down!

All these floors were screaming quilts to me!

So many patterns!

Don't get me wrong... Up was amazing as well!

We arrived in a little town called Valldemossa
 where
Chopin and his lover spent some time in 1838
 in
an abandoned Monastery from the 13th century.

It was interesting but I fell in love with the little shops in this town.

I stumbled on a little shop that made patchwork bags.

These little purses were made with Spanish Cork!

Common sense got the best of me and I resisted!

Still haunting me that I didn't buy one!!
