My name is Christa Marcotte.
I live in Rural Saskatchewan
and
farm with my husband and youngest son.
In between farming, I quilt as much as I can.
To support my addiction,
I have a small business called Second Story Quilting.
I feel every quilt has a second story if you take the time to listen
and
hear where the maker was going with their creation.

I have always been passionate about creating.
Always wanted to be a designer as I chopped up my clothes as a kid and tried to redesign things.
When my first child was born, I decided to make him a quilt.
I bought my first Rotary cutter, mat and ruler
and
was determined to make a 60 degree star quilt.
I knew nothing about bias or quilting for that matter.
Didn't even have a pattern!!
This is all that's left of a 35 Year old Star Quilt!
I told my son to chuck it...but he still has it!
Since that quilt I have tried every thing under the sun
if
it involves fabric!
I have been loving challenges
as
I feel like it gets me out of my comfort zone.
